Aaand it is one of my favourite days of the year once again. The fifth of November. As some might guess, I love the movie V for Vendetta and everything related to it and thus this day has a special meaning to me.

It is 2:46 am here where I live, but I just have to write a few words about this terrorist, or freedom fighter, whatever you want to call him :'D I fell in love with the movie the very first time I saw it and watched it twice a day for a week after that. I still watch the movie every fifth of November and tend to celebrate V and every other revolutionary characters as well. Recently, I made the terrible and yet the best possible decision to watch an anime called Zankyou no Terror which, how ever so conveniently, told the story about two young terrorists, Nine and Twelve. These two hit the spot even more than V and they are among the best and dearest characters of all time, for me.

Now I do not know what it is with terrorists and me, but something about their ideals and backgrounds touches me. They have been abused and treated like objects, and they want a revenge. And yet they do want to harm as few people as possible and bring justice to everyone. They act brave and calm because they seem to know they are going to die at some point, but before they go, they want to change the world - even if it is just a bit.

I was, yet again, supposed to post something revolution related but oh look, there's nothing there. I am once again making promises that might take a little while to redeem but! I assure you there will be plenty of revolutionary art to come.

Remembering runs through both the movie and the anime as a collecting thought. In Vendetta, the poem about Guy Fawkes tells everyone to remember the deed he never finished, but more importantly his idea of freedom. In ZnT the two boys, especially Nine, keep remembering the facility they were kept in and eventually Nine asks Shibazaki to remember them. As V said, people are the ones giving power to the symbol and without them the symbol is meaningless. There is no point of doing anything if no-one will remember it. So, whatever the pain, grief, problem or struggle you're dealing with, I want you to remember that there is more than there seems to it. There are other people who think exactly like you and there are those who have had it much worse. Remember who you are, who you want to become and more importantly: remember the path you have come. It doesn't have to define you or drag you down, just accept its presence and use it as a tool to shape the wider road you have in front of you. Make everyone remember you.
